Industrial OEM AHRS Sensor 3DM-CV5-AHRS

The MicroStrain 3DM-CV5-AHRS is an Industrial OEM Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) with a sampling rate up 1000Hz. It features super-stable gyro and high-performance accelerometer with options of 2g, 4g, 8g (standard), 20g and 40g. Lightweight and compact and weighs only 13 grams.

Suitable for Industrial OEM products such as Unmanned Vehicle Navigation, Robotics, Platform Stabilisation, Artificial Horizon and HUMS.

The HBK Microstrain 3DM-CV5-AHRS is an Industrial OEM AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) Sensor.

Firstly, this high-performance unit features an IMU.  This allows a direct measurement of acceleration, Delta-theta, Delta-velocity and angular rate.  In addition, it is fully temperature compensated and calibrated over the operating temperature and uses MEMS Technology.

The best measurement qualities is achieved in the 3DM-CV5-AHRS unit with use of a triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and temperature sensors.  Packaged in one unit.

In addition, there are compensation options available.  These include automatic compensation for magnetic anomalies, gyro and accelerometer noise, and noise effects. In models that include computed outputs, sensor measurements are processed through an auto-adaptive estimation filter algorithm to produce high accuracy computed outputs under dynamic conditions. The computed outputs vary between models and can include roll, pitch, and yaw.

Secondly, designed for demanding industrial applications.  Featuring dual onboard Extended Kalman Filter for attitude estimation.  The IMU and EKF provide independently configurable outputs.  Housed in a compact and low-profile CNC Anodized Aluminium package. The operating temperature range is from -40 to +85°C.

SensorConnect Software is ideal for configuration, control, display, and logging.  Whilst the MIP Protocol optimises bandwidth.

The sensor operates independent of computer platform, operating system, or coding language.
