Rugged Inline 1553 to Ethernet Converter

NLINE-E1553™ is a small, low power rugged device.  It provides real time Ethernet connectivity to one or two dual redundant 1553 (A/B) buses / channels.  The real point of innovation with this technology is that the MIL-STD-1553 Protocol Engine is embedded directly into the MIL-810G/461F qualified cable assemblies for real-time Ethernet, Thunderbolt™ and USB 3 interfaces.

Making it ideal for Aerospace Platforms and rugged, infield 1553 connections with their AltaAPI software to enable – a simple plug in and go.

The Alta Data NLINE-E1553™ is rugged inline 1553 to Ethernet Converter.   Firstly, Providing “remoting” of 1553 operations on 10/100/1000 Ethernet IP/UDP local area networks (LAN).  Plus a combination of the most advanced 32-bit 1553 FPGA protocol engine, AltaCore™, with a real time IP/UDP thin server.

It also provides the ultimate in code portability.  This is because in most cases the customer can implement their application with the same feature rich application programming interface, AltaAPI™, as used with standard cards but without recompiling.

NLINE-E1553 (server) is a real time Ethernet/1553 Device.  However, your computer’s (client) IP stack may not be.  This means the client IP/UDP stack will create path delays as compared to backplane cards.  But the NLINE-E1553 device provides real time UDP.  It receives and transmits requests <20 uSecs to 1553 buffers.  In most applications it will transmit <100-2000 packets per second.  Therefore, provide unparalleled flexibility in 1553 configurations and much quicker than USB devices.
