Small Impulse Sledge Hammer 5805

Model 5805 is an IEPE Impulse Sledge hammer, used to excite larger structures, creating definable impulse force to allow studying dynamic behaviour and determining the overall structural health of a test specimen.

Applications for this product include:

  • Modal and Structural analysis of heavy structures such as concrete castings, storage tanks, pipelines, towers, bridges, dams and other concrete structures.
  • Structural test of trains, ships and building foundations
  • Other low to very low frequency structural testing requirements

The Dytran 5805 Model is a small Impulse Sledge Hammer. It is part of the Dytran Dytranpulse™ product range.

Firstly, it is available with a sensitivity of 1mV/lbf and a measurement range of 5000 lbf. It has a head weight of 0.45 kgs and supplied with 4 interchangeable impact tips. It is the smallest of Dytran’s Sledge Hammers.

Secondly, a great feature of the Dynapulse™ hammers is that it incorporates a special acceleration compensated piezoelectric force sensor built into hammer head at striking face. Therefore, ensuring a smooth frequency spectrum free from anomalies Electrical connection is achieved via a BNC jack located at the end of the hammer handle.
