As a Circuit Board Functional Tester, the ACCAT System is designed to support diagnostic and acceptance test requirements across a wide range of testing parameters. Firstly, it reduces time to test, increases fault coverage with functional and power off testing. SimulTest® Software allows engineers and technicians to create simple or complex test procedures. Therefore, diagnostics are more powerful than standalone Automatic Test Equipment as coherent graphical results display items such a failure isolation matrix.
ACCAT Interface Adaptors
User defined Interface Test Adaptors (ITA) are key to a good test plan for a Circuit Board Functional Tester. Firstly, that is because the ITA’s are the bridge between the circuit card being tested and the core test instruments. As each circuit card can have a different form, fit and function. The ITA provides the route signals from various I/O on the Circuit Card to the ACCAT Core Instruments. Automated Guided probe applications and interconnect I/O’s can provide complete end to end testing.
ACCAT Instrumentation Resources and Operations
SimulTest® Software will functionally test and evaluation the circuit card for compliance with operational specifications. The ACCAT Automated Guided Probe combines SimulTest and Huntron Workstation software. Therefore, this allows every physical test point and component to be targeted for automated probing.
Automated Ambiguity Group Diagnostics
SimulTest places probes in position to measure the fault ambiguity group. It identifies the fault providing automated diagnostics and a complete ETE Test. The ETE can power down the circuit card being tested. Huntron Analog Signature Analysis is then used to determine the faults that the original test may not have been able to isolate. Once the test has run, passed or failed the circuit card part number, serial number, date and time, test results and faulted components are recorded.
