Transducer Calibration Software

Transducers must be calibrated to ensure their accuracy and reliability during testing.  RULA technologies have an extensive and easy to use transducer calibration software.  It meets a range of calibration compliance standards, can be processed in a short period and produces relevant reports.

Transducer Calibration Software ensures the accuracy and reliability of transducers being used in tests with RULA equipment.

Firstly the software provides traceable back to back calibration of vibration sensors according to ISO 16063-21.  The software module has advanced technical capabilities such as:

  • User defined sine excitation
  • Radom signal excitation
  • Calibration by substitution method
  • Triaxial measurements in one protocol
  • As well as transverse sensitivity testing

Secondly, it is intended for calibrating transducers in production. As well as those in Research & Development (but using a manual method). It only takes 3 minutes to determine the sensor FRF using random signal.

Calibration Reference Program Interface

Specifications of the Transducer Calibration Software include:

Calibration Frequency Range0.1  to 35 kHz for RL-C21

DC to 80 kHz for RL-C21M

0.1 to 106 kHz for RL-C25

Supported Transducer TypesIEPE, Charge, TEDS
Calibration by substitutionSupported
Supported TEDS Templates25
Calibration time in random signal mode< 4 min

Calibration Standards Compliance

Calibration is a strictly standardised procedure.  RULA Tech’s Software is made according to the most relevant standards

  • ISO 16063-1:1998 Methods for the calibration of vibration and shock transducers — Part 1: Basic concepts
  • ISO 16063-21:2003 Methods for the calibration of vibration and shock transducers — Part 21: Vibration calibration by comparison to a reference transducer
  • ISO 16063-31:2009 Methods for the calibration of vibration and shock transducers — Part 31: Testing of transverse vibration sensitivity

Comprehensive Reports

So after any calibration procedure, VisProbe Software automatically creates a comprehensive calibration report which includes:

  • Measurement results in the form of tables and graphics
  • Detailed information about the reference sensor
  • Calibration date and time
