OEM System Controller Hardware platform 2110-DE2

The ITS 2110-DE2 is an OEM System Controller Hardware Platform that is designed to control several devices from a single ethernet port.

Firstly, the daughter card port is a 40-pin header. It delivers up to 1.5amps of 12 VDC and 4 FUART ports capable of megabaud transfer rates each. The FPGA configuration provides I/O interfaces for the serial, ethernet and daughter card resources.

Secondly, the board runs a NIOSII risk processor with a 50 MHz clock. This provides a fast-processing environment whilst addressing the control and computational needs. The NIOS II is supported by 1 MB SRAM. Plus, the board is delivered with a baseline firmware package. This includes Micrium OS/II real time operating system (ROTS) and Cyclone focused stack to provide full Ethernet socket management.

Users can assign an I/O port to a task. Plus, a function call Manifest is included. Which allows the user to start the system controller with a specific list of tasks whilst leaving a universe of task modules inactive in the main code set. The daughter card interface addresses those special control, computation or interface needs that can’t be handled by existing resources.

The 2210 System Controller is designed to operate from -20 to + 80°C.  Also, its footprint measures 16.51 cm x 17.78 cm x 2.54 cm (h).

  • Designed as a resource board providing a 32 bit NIOS II RISC processor, 1 MB SRAM, 8 serial I/Os a Discrete input.
  • Daughter board interface; 4 megabaud TTL UART set of FUART.
  • Includes a multi-tasking RTOS enabling multiple processes to run concurrently.
  • Daughter card interface provides a means to develop custom functions and interfaces that are controlled by the 2110.
