Standards Reference Accelerometer 3010M14

Model 3010M14 is a primary transfer standard accelerometer. It is designed to transfer standard vibration calibration data from standards organisations such as NIST to back to back calibration accelerometers such as Dytran 3120 & 3123. This information is used to calibrate other accelerometers.

Applications in which it is used include:

  • Back to back accelerometer calibration
  • Low frequency, low g level measurements
  • NIST traceable calibrations (when used with appropriate electrodynamic shaker, power supply and control system)

The Dytran 3010M14 is a standards reference accelerometer.

Firstly, this model has 10 mV/g sensitivity, 10-32 tapped hole for mounting and 10-32 axial connector.

Secondly, back to back or reference accelerometers offer a convenient means of determining the sensitivity and frequency response characteristics of unknown acceleration velocity and displacement sensors. Therefore, a vibration laboratory already equipped with an electrodynamic shaker control system can easily incorporate use model 3010M14 to accomplish in house NIST traceable calibration
