The Dytran Model 2200V1 is a miniature IEPE pressure sensor.
Firstly, it uses a pure synthetic alpha quartz sensing element. This allows it to operate in compression mode. It generates an output signal in response to the pressure acting on the thin stainless steel diaphragm.
Secondly, it is hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments. Plus weighs only 6 grams. Also acceleration compensated to reduce the risk of ambient vibration signals adding to signal output.
