Multi-Function IO Module AP730

The AP730 Series is an AcroPack® Module that is a Multi-function mezzanine module that provides a variety of I/O functions on single plug in card. I/O functions such as Analog Input, Analog Output, Digital I/O, Counters/Timers all on a PCIe Bus Interface. It also provides high speed and resolution A/D and D/A Conversion.

Designed for COTS applications where general purpose I/O modules deliver high speed and resolution for a range of I/O functions.

The Acromag AP730 Series is a Multi Function IO module that delivers high speed and resolution for a variety of IO functions.

Firstly, the AP730 Series is based on the Acromag AcroPack® product line, which has a PCIe interface format. AcroPack® offers products in a compact size, at a low cost with the same functionality and memory map of existing Industry Pack Modules in a rugged form factor. Also they are RoHS compliant.

The AP730 modules are 70mm long and only 19.05mm longer than a full length mini PCIe card. It contains a down facing connector which internally routes I/O signals through the carrier card to secure field connectors. Therefore, eliminating loose cables and increasing reliability.

Features of the Multi-Function IO Module AP730 includes:

  • Eight differential input channels (±10.24V, ±10.0V, ±5.12V, ±5.0V, 0 to 10.24V, 0 to 10.0V, 0 to 5.12V ranges)
  • 16-bit ADC with integral sample-and-hold and reference
  • 1.264μS conversion time (791KHz rate)
  • 1026 sample FIFO buffer
  • Programmable FIFO threshold conditions for interrupts, DMA transfers, and flags
  • User-programmable channel conversion sequence and timing

  • Factory calibration constants stored in on-board flash memory for error correction

  • Four analog output channels (±3V, ±5V, ±10V, -2.5 to +7.5V, 0-5V, and 0-10V ranges)
  • Individual 16-bit DACs per channel with 7.5μS settling time
  • Flexible operating mode, trigger, and memory allocation
  • Configurable for direct access, single burst, continuous, or streaming (FIFO) output
  • Reliable software calibration with coefficients stored on-board

  • Interrupt on user-programmable FIFO threshold
