Product Portfolio

CRYSOUND acoustic imaging cameras for leak detection

Acoustic Imaging & Leak Detection

Locate compressed-air leaks and investigate sound sources with
CRYSOUND acoustic imaging cameras. Visual acoustic images help
maintenance teams identify areas requiring further inspection.

CRYSOUND sound level meters for noise measurement and monitoring

Sound Level Meters & Noise Monitoring

Measure and record noise with selected CRYSOUND sound level meters.
Choose equipment to suit your measurement purpose, accuracy
requirements and data-logging needs.

CRYSOUND measurement microphones and microphone sets

Measurement Microphones & Microphone Sets

Select measurement microphones and microphone sets for acoustic
testing. Match the microphone to your frequency range, sound
pressure levels and measurement environment.

CRYSOUND measurement microphone preamplifiers

Measurement Microphone Preamplifiers

Connect compatible measurement microphones to your acoustic
measurement system. Metromatics can help check microphone,
preamplifier, power supply and connection compatibility.

Choosing the Right Acoustic Measurement Equipment

Start with what you need to find or measure. Metromatics can help you select equipment to suit your application and existing measurement system.

Inspection purpose

For locating compressed-air leaks or investigating sound sources, consider an acoustic imaging camera. For measuring and recording noise levels, choose a sound level meter. For acoustic testing with an analyser or data acquisition system, select a compatible measurement microphone and preamplifier.

Sound level meter class

Class 1 meters have tighter measurement tolerances than Class 2 meters. Choose the class required by your measurement procedure, customer specification or applicable standard. Also consider whether you need data logging, frequency analysis or extended monitoring.

Microphone frequency range

Select a microphone that covers the frequencies and sound pressure levels you expect to measure. Low-noise testing, high-frequency measurements and high-level sound testing can require different microphones. The microphone’s free-field or pressure-field response should also suit your test setup.

Connections and compatibility

Check the microphone and preamplifier combination, connector type, power requirements and compatibility with your analyser or data acquisition system. IEPE and externally polarised microphone systems require different powering arrangements. Cable connections and any adapters should be checked before ordering.

Tell Metromatics what you are measuring, the expected frequency and sound level range, and which equipment you already use.
