Analog Amplifier with Voltage Output – IAA100

The FUTEK IAA100 is an Analog Amplifier with Voltage Output.  It converts low-level mV/V signals from full-bridge strain gauge sensors into stable, high-quality analogue voltage signals.  Perfect for direct integration with PLCs, DAQ systems, data loggers and industrial control equipment. Designed for laboratory, production and OEM applications, the IAA100 combines exceptional measurement accuracy with flexible configuration, fast commissioning and industrial-grade reliability.

Supporting input signals from 0.2 mV/V to 18 mV/V.  The IAA100 is compatible with a wide range of load cells, torque sensors, pressure sensors and other Wheatstone bridge-based transducers. With 256 selectable gain settings, configurable bridge excitation, multiple bandwidth options, and built-in calibration checks, it delivers accurate, repeatable measurements. It suits demanding test and automation environments.

The IAA100 is engineered to provide precise analogue signal conditioning without complexity.  Firstly, discrete switches allow fast configuration of gain, excitation voltage and bandwidth.  Whilst dedicated span and zero adjustments enable accurate calibration without disturbing the base setup.

In addition, its exceptionally low non-linearity of ±0.01% of full-scale range.  Therefore, helps maintain measurement integrity, while low-noise electronics and external chassis grounding improve signal quality in electrically noisy environments.

Broad Compatibility with Bridge Sensors

An industry-leading input range of 0.2 mV/V to 18 mV/V.  Secondly, allows the IAA100 to interface with both standard and low-output strain gauge sensors. This broad compatibility makes it suitable for applications using:

  • Load cells
  • Torque sensors
  • Pressure transducers
  • Force sensors
  • Other full-bridge Wheatstone bridge sensors

Standard ±5 V and ±10 V analogue outputs integrate directly.  Such as most industrial PLCs, DAQs and control systems without additional signal conversion.

Fast Installation and Simple Configuration

The IAA100 has been designed to minimise commissioning time while providing flexibility for different applications.

Configuration features include:

  • 256 selectable gain options
  • Selectable 5 VDC or 10 VDC bridge excitation
  • Selectable bandwidths of 1 kHz, 10 kHz or 25 kHz
  • Sensor polarity reversal
  • Zero-shift adjustment
  • On-board span and offset calibration controls

These features allow engineers to configure the amplifier quickly while maintaining consistent performance across multiple installations.

Built for Industrial Reliability

The IAA100 incorporates multiple protection and diagnostic features to improve uptime and simplify maintenance.

Its hot-swappable design allows sensor replacement without closing down the system.  While integrated ESD, over-voltage and over-current protection help safeguard connected equipment.

Additional features including remote shunt calibration capability.  In addition, external chassis grounding and a custom spring-loaded DIN rail clip support.  Therefore, offering reliable operation in industrial control cabinets and automated systems.

Manufactured to IPC Class III PCB assembly standards.  The amplifier is designed for long-term performance in demanding testing and production environments.
