Analog Amplifier with Current Output – IAA200

The IAA200 is an analog amplifier with current output. Designed for in-line signal conditioning of full-bridge strain gauge sensors with mV/V outputs.

Compatible with load cells, torque sensors, pressure sensors and other bridge-based transducers.  It converts low-level sensor signals into stable industrial current outputs for reliable integration with PLCs, data acquisition systems and process control equipment.

Available with industry-standard 4–20 mA current output options.  The IAA200 functions as a high-performance load cell transmitter for industrial measurement applications. Its rugged aluminium enclosure and integrated 35 mm DIN rail clip provide secure, space-efficient installation within control panels and electrical cabinets, making it well suited to demanding industrial environments.

The IAA200 is an Analog Amplifier with Current Output.  Firstly, it converts low-level mV/V signals from full-bridge strain gauge sensors into stable industrial current outputs.  In addition, it offers reliable transmission over long cable runs and through electrically noisy environments. Designed for load, torque and pressure measurement applications.  Plus, it combines high measurement accuracy, broad sensor compatibility and straightforward configuration to simplify installation.  Whilst delivering dependable performance from laboratory development through to industrial production.

Supporting multiple current output formats, configurable gain, selectable bandwidth and integrated calibration verification.  The IAA200 provides a flexible signal conditioning solution for automation, process control and data acquisition systems.

Broad Compatibility Across Strain Gauge Sensors

The IAA200 accepts full-bridge sensor inputs from ±0.2 mV/V to ±18 mV/V.  Therefore, making it compatible with a wide range of strain gauge-based transducers. Whether interfacing with miniature low-output sensors or higher-output load, torque or pressure sensors.  Its broad input range helps standardise installations while reducing the need for multiple amplifier variants.

With 256 selectable gain settings, the amplifier can be configured to suit diverse sensor sensitivities while maintaining measurement accuracy across applications.

Flexible Current Outputs for Easy System Integration

Selectable analogue current outputs include:

  • 4–20 mA
  • 0–20 mA
  • 5–25 mA
  • 12 ±8 mA

These industry-standard outputs enable straightforward integration with PLCs, DAQ systems and other industrial control equipment. Integrated zero-offset adjustment and polarity reversal allow signal direction and system baselines to be configured without rewiring, reducing commissioning time and simplifying installation.

Fast Configuration with Precise Adjustment

Dedicated configuration switches allow rapid selection of gain, bridge excitation and bandwidth. Once the base configuration has been established, independent span and zero adjustments enable precise calibration without changing hardware settings.

This streamlined setup process promotes consistency between installations while reducing configuration errors.

Selectable Bandwidth for Dynamic Measurements

Selectable bandwidths of 1 kHz, 10 kHz and 25 kHz are available.  Which allow the amplifier response to be matched to application requirements. This flexibility helps preserve genuine sensor response while allowing users to optimise measurement performance for their specific system.

Reliable Performance in Industrial Environments

Designed for demanding industrial applications, the IAA200 incorporates features that support dependable long-term operation.

Its hot-swappable design allows compatible sensors to be replaced without powering down the system, reducing maintenance interruptions. Integrated ESD protection together with over-voltage and over-current protection help safeguard both the amplifier and connected equipment during installation and operation.

An external chassis ground connection further improves noise immunity in electrically noisy environments, contributing to a clean and stable analogue output signal.

High Accuracy for Critical Measurements

The IAA200 delivers low non-linearity of ±0.01% of full-scale range (FSR).  Therefore, supporting accurate and repeatable measurement across a broad range of applications. In addition, it is combined with low-noise performance and configurable gain.  So, it provides stable analogue outputs suitable for measurement, monitoring, automation and control systems.

Built-In Calibration Verification

An externally accessible shunt calibration function allows rapid verification that connected sensors remain calibrated and operational. Local and remote shunt activation options simplify routine maintenance and reduce the time required to confirm system performance.

Industrial Construction

The amplifier is housed in a durable metal enclosure.  In addition, it is built to IPC-A-610 Class 3 assembly standards for demanding industrial applications.

A custom spring-loaded 35 mm DIN rail clip.  It enables fast installation while providing a secure, vibration-resistant mounting solution for control cabinets and industrial panels.
