With very low SWaP, flexible I/O, and up to 16 TB of encrypted NVMe storage, it ensures reliable mission debriefing and training while meeting MIL-STD-810/461/704 qualifications. Backed by Metromatics’ local sales, service, and technical support, it provides proven performance wherever critical operations take place.

The Calculex RIPR 1402  is an IRIG 106 Rugged Mission Data Recorder.  Firstly, it is engineered for next-generation defence, aerospace and flight-test missions.  Those that demand high-speed, secure, and standards-compliant data capture. Building on Calculex’s proven RIPR architecture, the 1402 combines very low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) with enhanced baseline connectivity, ensuring unmatched performance in even the harshest environments.

This advanced recorder features customisable Input/Output (I/O) capabilities, optional MIL circular connectors, and built-in data encryption for mission-critical security. Each channel supports individual data rates up to 10 Gbps, enabling real-time acquisition of high-bandwidth sensor, avionics, and video streams. Its CALCULEX NVMe Removable Memory Module (RMM) provides up to 16 TB of capacity at 5 GBps, allowing rapid offload and extended mission endurance. Designed for 28 VDC power with passive cooling, the 1402 delivers silent, reliable operation in confined or mobile installations.

Fully compliant with IRIG 106 open-standard formatting approved by the U.S. DoD.  The RIPR 1402 supports networked, serial, and discrete command/control.  As well as Ethernet video and data streaming, ensuring seamless interoperability with ground stations and mission-debrief systems. Its rugged design is qualified to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704.  Guaranteeing dependable performance under extreme temperature, shock, vibration, and EMI/EMC conditions.
