VITA 93 Isolated Digital Input Module QMC440

The Acromag QMC440 is a small, high-performance VITA 93 Isolated Digital Input Module. It is made to safely monitor 32 digital signals at different voltage levels.

With strong optical isolation, programmable edge-detection interrupts, and built-in noise rejection, it ensures reliable input monitoring. This is important for mission-critical applications in aerospace, defence, and industrial systems.

The Acromag QMC440 is a rugged, compact VITA 93 Isolated Digital Input Module.  Designed to monitor a wide range of digital signals safely and reliably in demanding embedded applications. Featuring 32 optically isolated input channels across four 8-channel ports.  Firstly, the QMC440 ensures protection from electrical noise, ground loops, and transient voltages.  Therefore, making it ideal for industrial, aerospace, defence, and lab environments.

Each channel supports individually programmable interrupts.  For change-of-state, low-to-high, or high-to-low transitions, enabling responsive, event-driven data acquisition. Built-in debounce logic eliminates false triggering due to electrical noise or contact bounce.  Therefore, ensuring clean and accurate edge detection.

The QMC440 has three input voltage ranges: ±4 to ±18V, ±16 to ±40V, and ±38 to ±60V. This allows it to work with many different signal types. Reverse polarity protection, input hysteresis, and software-configurable settings make this module both robust and easy to integrate. No jumpers or switches are required for configuration, allowing fast “on-the-fly” setup and system adaptation.

The QMC440 is part of Acromag’s VITA 93 small form factor (SFF) module line up.  Designed for high-density deployment on PCIe carrier cards and platforms such as VPX, CompactPCI, and VNX+. Measuring only 26 x 78.25mm, it’s perfect for space-, weight-, and power-constrained applications. For added diagnostic capability, the QMC440 is fully compatible with the QMC450 digital output module.  Therefore, supporting loopback monitoring for system self-tests and fault detection.
