XSR Removable Data Module (RDM)

The Galleon Portable Planning and Debriefing System (PDS) is a rugged, all-in-one solution for field-based mission planning, debriefing, data loading, and secure archiving. Designed to interface directly with Galleon’s XSR Removable Data Modules (RDMs), the PDS enables high-speed read/write operations at over 800MB/s, making it ideal for use in pre- and post-mission workflows. Housed in a portable form factor with integrated screen, keyboard, and carrying case, the PDS is engineered for operational flexibility across defence, aerospace, and research environments.

Rugged, High-Capacity Storage – Tool-Free – Up to 80TB

The XSR Removable Data Module (RDM) delivers a rugged, field proven storage solution for Galleon’s full range of XSR data recorders, NAS units, and servers. Engineered for high capacity performance, this flexible storage system allows up to 80TB of solid-state storage, and is tool free for fast field swaps during mission critical operations.

The XSR-RDM accommodates four industry-standard 2.5” SSDs, supporting a wide range of NAND technologies including SLC, MLC, and TLC. This allows users to optimise the module for development, lab use, or operational deployment—selecting cost-effective commercial-grade SSDs for testing or ruggedised, military-grade drives for demanding environments.

Field-tested and rated for up to 100,000 insertion/removal cycles, the XSR-RDM enables fast data transfer, mission reloading, and seamless integration with XSR platforms. For enhanced data security, the RDM supports optional AES-256 hardware encryption and secure/quick erase on qualified media. This module is listed on the NSA CSfC Approved Components List and supports NIAP-approved full disk encryption, meeting high-assurance cybersecurity requirements.

Supported locally by Metromatics across Australia, the XSR-RDM ensures high availability and trusted performance for defence, aerospace, and high speed data capture applications.
