What is AS5652? How does it fit with 1553?
AS5652, sometimes known as “High Speed 1553” or HS-1553. Firstly, it is a standard that improves upon the traditional MIL-STD-1553 avionics data bus, by offering a higher-speed variant of the traditional 1553, and it allows for data transfer rates of 10 Mbit/s.
In addition, it aims to be backward-compatible with existing MIL-STD-1553 systems. Therefore, making it easier to integrate into existing architectures. It provides faster data rates while preserving the robustness and reliability that 1553 is known for.
