Acumentrics’ rugged UPS Systems are available in rack mount and custom enclosure configurations to suit applications with tight space constraints. Finally, all Rugged UPS Systems feature their truly modular design and robust construction which provides years of reliable performance resulting in a low MTTR, MTBF and Cost to ownership.
Features of the Rugged UPS Systems in traditional systems include
Unique Flo-Thru™ Technology
Firstly, this an unique heat sink tunnel design. As the sealed gasket enclosure provides maximum protection for components in the operating environment.
Power Factor Corrected
Also the Rugged-UPS™ provides seamless active power factor correction and clean, reliable AC or DC Power
AC and DC Power Output
Secondly, the Power Management feature enables various combinations of AC and DC power. Up to the maximum power rating of the unit. Indicated on the LED Bar Graph – also protecting it from overloading.
Double Conversion
It creates DC Voltage. This is then converted to AC or DC Output Voltage. Therefore, protecting the unit from input surges, spikes, brownouts, blackouts and noise.
RUPS Transfer
In addition, units seamlessly transfer without interrupting the load quality and have zero switch over time.
Automatic Power Selection using Dual Input
In the DC Input Models, the UPS automatically selects AC or DC power. In the event of an AC power failure, the external DC input takes precedence over the internal battery.
User Replaceable Battery Pack
The Rugged-UPS™ features LFP or low maintenance, valve regulated lead acid (VRLA ) batteries. Enclosed in a user replaceable battery pack for rapid hot-swap field replacement as required.
LFP Battery Pack
Backward compatible with existing units and offer a safe energy source that is light weight with long lifecycle and run time.
Lightweight Aluminium Chassis
Housed in a lightweight chassis. All aluminium welded construction minimises overall weight of the unit whilst maintaining high durability.
Extra Features of the Rugged Blade UPS™
Rugged Blade UPS™ Parallel, Fault Tolerant and N+1 Operations
The Rugged Blade supports parallel operations. Up to 2 units can be connected in parallel. Also supports resilient, fault tolerant power systems using an N+1 configuration for mission applications.
For example: The application requires 1.25kW. The 2 units share the 1.25kW critical load. If one unit fails, the load is automatically distributed to the 1 working unit. For this to occur, several advanced features of hardware and software are integral part of each Rugged Blade UPS™.
Power is more portable
Finally, the Rugged Blade UPS™ offers power portability for Defence applications in a narrow 1U Chassis offering extra savings in rack space.
Lithium-Ion User Replaceable Battery Pack
The Rugged Blade UPS™ feature Lithium-Ion or Low Maintenance, Valve regulated lead acid user replaceable battery pack. Also the Lithium-Ion provides a light weight energy source with longer shelf life and lifecycle.
