FAQs
1. What is the main difference between the WOLF-16T1 and other SOSA-aligned VPX compute modules?
The WOLF-16T1 is a rugged single board computer (SBC) that combines GPU, CPU, and PCIe switching on one SOSA-aligned 3U VPX card.
Unlike GPU-only payload modules, it includes a safety-certifiable PCIe Gen 4 switch (ISO 26262), making it ideal for autonomous and mission-critical systems that require deterministic control and functional safety in addition to AI performance.
2. How does the WOLF-16T1 support autonomous and safety-critical applications?
The WOLF-16T1 was designed with functional safety at its core.
It uses a PCIe Gen 4 switch with ISO 26262 certification, time-sensitive networking (TSN), and real-time Arm Neoverse CPU cores to ensure predictable, deterministic operation.
These features enable integrators to deploy AI-enabled autonomy in environments that demand strict reliability—such as UGVs, UAVs, and avionics mission computers.
3. Is the VPX3U-THOR-SBC compatible with existing SOSA or VPX chassis?
Yes. The WOLF-16T1 follows SOSA slot profile 14.2.16, supporting PCIe Gen 4, TSN Ethernet, and standard VPX backplane interfaces.
This makes it drop-in compatible with modern SOSA/CMOSS mission systems and simplifies technology refresh programs where open-architecture compliance and long lifecycle support are essential.
