Rugged Optical Modules – Ultra-High-Speed Ethernet – Built for Extreme Performance
Applications | Benefits
‣ High-performance servers | ‣ Up to 40GbE throughput
‣ NAS and data distribution | ‣ Low power operation
‣ Flight and radar test systems | ‣ Air- or conduction-cooled options
‣ Sensor data recording & replay | ‣ Precision timing with IEEE 1588
‣ Seismic and geophysical systems | ‣ Rugged and flexible I/O integration
‣ Video-over-IP platforms | ‣ Ready for harsh environments
With support for UDP, TCP, SCTP, and IP checksum offloading, and up to 1536 Tx/Rx queues per device, the Titan ensures host CPU resources remain free for critical tasks—even under the heaviest traffic loads.
Designed for integration into CPCI, VME, or VPX single-board computers, the module supports 850nm multimode fibre connections through rugged front panel LC optical connectors or recessed transceivers for conduction-cooled systems. It interfaces to the host via a PCIe Gen3 x8 link, delivering high throughput with low latency.
For non-rugged environments, a PCIe card edge adapter is available, making it easy to deploy in lab development or software integration setups. The Titan 40GbE XMC is compatible with Linux and Windows drivers, providing maximum flexibility.
Galleon Embedded Computing ensures industry-leading reliability with AS/EN 9100 and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing, ideal for defence, aerospace, and industrial applications.
