3U VPX GPU Module with Video Conversion VPX3U-A2000E-FGX2-COAX

The WOLF-1471 (VPX3U-A2000E-FGX2-COAX) is a rugged 3U VPX module.  That combines an NVIDIA RTX™ A2000 embedded GPU with WOLF’s FGX2 video conversion technology. Designed for defence and aerospace applications.  It extends the GPU’s native video capabilities by supporting formats such as 12G-SDI and analogue video over 75 Ω coaxial interfaces.

Built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, the RTX A2000 delivers high-performance parallel processing, dedicated Tensor Cores for AI acceleration, and second-generation Ray Tracing Cores for advanced graphics rendering. Together with the integrated FGX2 processor, the module provides a compact solution for embedded AI, graphics processing and video conversion in rugged VPX systems.

The VPX3U-A2000E-FGX2-COAX (WOLF-1471) is a 3U VPX GPU with Video Conversion.  Firstly, it combines an NVIDIA RTX A2000 embedded GPU.  Along with WOLF FGX2 video conversion in a rugged 3U VPX module. Designed for defence and aerospace platforms, it delivers embedded AI processing alongside high-performance video capture, conversion and output over 75 Ohm coaxial interfaces.

Built around NVIDIA’s Ampere GPU architecture.  The module provides CUDA parallel processing.  In addition, dedicated Tensor Cores for AI acceleration and Ray Tracing Cores for advanced graphics workloads. Integrated FGX2 technology extends video interface capability beyond native GPU support, enabling applications requiring 12G-SDI and analogue video processing within a single embedded solution.

Supporting both conduction-cooled and air flow-through configurations.  The WOLF-1471 is engineered for deployment in demanding environments where performance, ruggedness and system integration are critical.

Embedded AI Processing and Video Conversion for Defence Systems

Modern defence and aerospace platforms increasingly require real-time AI inference.  As well as graphics processing and video conversion within size, weight and power constrained systems.

The WOLF-1471 addresses these requirements by combining:

  • NVIDIA RTX A2000 embedded GPU
  • WOLF FGX2 video conversion technology
  • High-speed PCIe Gen4 connectivity
  • Multiple 12G-SDI and CVBS video interfaces
  • SOSA-aligned 3U VPX architecture

The integrated GPU provides CUDA processing for compute-intensive applications while Tensor Cores accelerate AI workloads. FGX2 handles video formats not natively supported by the GPU.  Therefore, allowing seamless conversion between GPU processing and external video interfaces.

Rugged Design for Mission-Critical Deployment

The WOLF-1471 is available in conduction-cooled (CC) and air flow-through (AFT) variants.  In order to support deployment across a wide range of military and aerospace environments.

The module supports:

  • ANSI/VITA 48 and OpenVPX architectures
  • SOSA slot profile 14.6.11-16
  • VITA 47.1 vibration and shock requirements
  • Operating temperatures from -40°C up to +85°C (configuration dependent)

Advanced thermal design helps transfer heat away from critical components to support sustained GPU performance in harsh operating environments.

High-Speed Video Processing

Integrated FGX2 technology enables video interfaces beyond native GPU capability.

Video I/O includes:

  • Two 12G-SDI inputs
  • Two CVBS inputs
