CRY2851 Noise Monitoring Sound Level Meter

The CRYSOUND CRY2851 is a Class 1 noise monitoring sound level meter for environmental, traffic, occupational and airport noise applications.

It combines integrating, statistical, octave-band and FFT functions with USB-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity.

As a result, engineers can configure a connected measurement platform for both field analysis and longer-term monitoring.

Noise Monitoring Sound Level Meter for Application-Focused Engineering

Built specifically for varied monitoring scenarios, the CRY2851 combines a broad 21 to 143 dB(A) measurement range with touch-screen and button control. Optional outdoor protection devices support monitoring installations, while wired and wireless interfaces help transfer data and connect the instrument within a monitoring architecture.

Integration and Configuration Considerations

Connectivity includes USB-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet. The NA41 outdoor protection device provides an IP65-rated wind and rain shield, while the NA43 adds an electrostatic excitation device. Confirm the complete monitoring architecture, power, protection and data-transfer requirements before ordering.

Selecting the Measurement Chain

Accurate acoustic measurement depends on the complete signal chain. Therefore, confirm the microphone field type, sensitivity, dynamic range, preamplifier, connector, cable, constant-current supply, data-acquisition input and calibration method as one system. Metromatics can help review these interfaces before quotation.
