CRY3401-S01 uses a prepolarized sensing element for free-field measurement and is supplied as a matched microphone and preamplifier set. Free-field response is relevant where the microphone measures sound arriving without dominant reflections, such as in anechoic rooms, controlled test areas and many product-noise setups.
