Rugged Servers 1U
Our 1U Rugged Servers deliver high-performance computing and data storage in compact rack-mount systems engineered for demanding environments. Most models feature lightweight aluminium construction, with carbon-fibre chassis available for weight-sensitive applications. In addition, a range of chassis depths and mounting options enables integration into different rack spaces.
Beyond their rugged construction, these servers can operate in extreme temperatures and withstand shock, vibration, humidity, altitude, dust and other environmental conditions. Depending on the model and configuration, systems are tested to standards including MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-167 and RTCA/DO-160.
High-Performance Computing
To meet different processing requirements, processor options include Intel® Core™, Intel® Xeon® D, Intel® Xeon® Scalable and AMD EPYC™ architectures, depending on the model. Configurable memory and storage options further support demanding workloads, with selected systems offering SATA, SAS or NVMe solid-state drives, removable drive bays and high-capacity DDR4 or DDR5 ECC memory.
Expansion and Connectivity
For flexible system integration, available PCIe expansion slots support graphics cards, network adapters, data acquisition hardware and other application-specific devices. Configurable I/O and networking options can also include USB, Ethernet, display and serial interfaces, with high-speed networking available on selected models.
Power and Cooling
To maintain reliable operation in challenging environments, AC and DC power supply options are available across the range. Cooling configurations vary by model and can include high-speed forced-air cooling, externally supplied airflow or liquid cooling for higher-performance systems.
Remote Management
For applications requiring remote monitoring and control, selected system boards support management capabilities such as IPMI and IP KVM. These features allow administrators to monitor system health, manage equipment and troubleshoot servers without requiring direct physical access.
Security Features
Alongside physical durability, selected configurations provide additional security options to help protect sensitive information. These can include FIPS-compliant self-encrypting drives, chassis-intrusion detection, key management and data-sanitisation capabilities.
Edge Processing for AI and Deep Learning
For compute-intensive workloads at the tactical edge, selected models support high-performance GPUs and other accelerator technologies. As a result, these systems can be configured for applications such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensor fusion, ISR and situational awareness.
