The Dytran Series 1212 is a Force Washer Sensor. Due to its appearance, it is often also referred to as a Ring Style Force Sensor.
Firstly, it features built in electronics. This eliminates the need for an external charge amplifier and converter.
Secondly, the design of model features a quartz sensing element. It operates in compression mode and is packaged in a rugged stainless-steel housing weighing 8 grams. As well as using a BNC connector and thru hole mounting. It has a compression range from 8.90-22.24 kN (model dependent). It is low profile and offers excellent linearity.
