. Next generation wireless monitoring systems to improve quality and reduce cost
The EpiSensor TES-2X a fully wireless, accurate Probe Temperature Sensor can record temperature data at regular intervals. Firstly, it can make this data available to users via EpiSensor’s Gateway for use in environmental monitoring and energy management applications. Secondly, Single (TES-21) and dual probe (TES-22) versions are available.
Thirdly, the temperature sensor is housed in a waterproof polycarbonate enclosure. Therefore, it can be deployed in a wide range of harsh environments. The on-board lithium battery is designed to last up to 10 years (at 30 minute reporting interval).
What is refrigeration monitoring about?
EpiSensor’s Industrial IoT platform for refrigeration monitoring , powers applications which provide real-time visibility of the health and performance of refrigeration systems, by tracking the temperature of fresh and frozen produce to improve quality, increase energy efficiency and reduce food waste and cost.
Wireless sensors are used to monitor goods in a wide range of temperature controlled environments throughout the supply chain, from manufacturer to consumer.
What are the benefits?
When temperature sensitive products are stored in a high temperature environment for too long. Example after harvest or in refrigeration equipment that has failed, it can impact the shelf-life and quality. But more importantly cause food safety issues.
EpiSensor monitoring systems provide real-time visibility of temperature controlled environments and assets, enabling managers to make more informed decisions, preventing problems before they happen.
Why use EpiSensor’s Industrial IoT Platform for refrigeration monitoring?
EpiSensor’s system uniquely combines enterprise class security, scalability and ruggedness with the ease of installation, allowing customer sites to be reached more quickly.
The system is fully mobile, and so can be moved from site to site to calibrate existing equipment. All temperature sensors are waterproof and battery powered, with user-replaceable batteries that last up to 10 years. Each sensor can be individually field-calibrated to maintain accuracy, all done remotely via the Gateway’s web interface or API.
Finally, the self-healing ZigBee wireless mesh technology ensures that the network can adapt to changing environments, such as a chilled warehouse that’s gradually filled during the day.
