Twin Telemetry Ground Systems for Redundant Reliability
Each site now operates two completely independent yet identical ground stations, ensuring uninterrupted data acquisition and processing.
Highlights include:
- 10-foot parabolic tracking antenna with tower lift for precise satellite and airborne vehicle tracking
- Rack-mount TM receiving, processing, and recording equipment made by Lumistar
- Seamless integration of third-party hardware and software to create a full turnkey solution

Broad Frequency and Protocol Coverage
The ground systems are designed to handle lower L/S and C band RF signals and support all IRIG-106 demodulations.
Built-in capabilities include:
- CH 10 data recording and playback
- RF and TM data simulation for over-air loopback validation of the entire ground station
- UDP Ethernet CH 10 packet data delivery to IADS software clients
- LDPS real-time TM processing and display software, offering a powerful alternative to IADS
This combination provides flexibility for aerospace, defence, and space-tracking applications.
Comprehensive Site Integration and Training
Lumistar’s installation and training team spent two days onsite, working directly with the customer to ensure perfect operation.
The integration program covered:
- Local spectrum observations to identify and reduce interference
- End-to-end data flow validation to confirm system readiness
- System G/T sensitivity checks and LEO/GEO/Sun satellite tracking verification
- Pedestal speed and acceleration checks
