4-20mA Signal Splitters
A 4-20mA Signal Splitter processes current inputs & provides two identical isolated 4-20mA output signals. These signal splitters receive 4-20mA process current inputs. They also provide two identical isolated 4-20mA output signals. In addition to this, each channel also operates own its own. This occurs to prevent communication between channels. Furthermore, Galvanic isolation gets rid of ground loops, reduces noise, and blocks transient signals.
Splitters are also available in 2-wire loop-powered and 4-wire AC/DC-powered models. The loop powered model runs on 12-50 VDC power from the output loop. It also has a built-in isolated excitation supply with short circuit protection. It can also drive up to two field 2-wire process loops.
Finally, the AC/DC-powered unit runs on 5-36 VDC SELV or 90-250 VAC. It also has a low input burden that keeps voltage drop to less than 1.5 V for full-scale current and support wide 0 to 1000 ohm load range. In addition to this, no trimming is required if the load varies and the current safely limits output to 27 mA. Furthermore, the splitters also mount on DIN-rails and feature removable terminal blocks. Both units feature pluggable terminals, zero/span trim pots and power LEDs that make install, maintenance and long term service easy.
