6010U 3U Rack Mount Enclosure

Users who require larger systems can combine up to 32 6010U 3U Rack Mount Enclosure using USB 2.0 hubs or a computer with multiple USB 2.0 ports. The enclosures are 3U 19-inch, rack mount or desktop. They also have integrated fans for air circulation and an internal cable tray that routes the input and output cables from the front to the rear of the enclosure.

Additionally, a sample clock bus is also provided for multi rack installations. Programming and data transfer is USB 2.0. As a result, high data transfer rates with low, predictable latency are achievable. It also interfaces to the USB 2.0 port provided on most PC computers – including laptops. Furthermore, while the maximum length of the interface cable is 3 meters, users can extend it with ethernet and the Control & Data Processor (CDP) option.

Data Redundancy

Data Redundancy is also available. That’s because A 2.5″ HD (Module 6095) mounts on the USB controller board in each 6010U enclosure and provides a redundant recording point for the DAS. As a result, in the unlikely event the Operators Workstation or DAS Software fails, data continues to record in each enclosure. Data is then recoverable from the system post-test.

Control & Data Processor

Furthermore The Control & Data Processor (CDP) interfaces multiple 6000U enclosures to gigabit Ethernet. As a result providing remote and/or distributed operation. The CDP also typically installs with the Series 6000 DAS. Thus providing an Ethernet interface to the Operators Workstation. The CDP also includes a high-speed processor and software that performs low-level operations. Therefore freeing resources on the Operators Workstation computer for data display, storage, distribution and reduction.

Operators Work Station

The Operators Workstation (PCCOWU-DHD) is the primary control and data recording point for the Series 6000 DAS. The PCCOWU-DHD typically installs in the control room and runs PI660 Data Acquisition Software for system setup, calibration, display, recording, distribution and export. In installations where the DAS is not remote from the Operators Workstation, the PCCOWU-DHD connects directly to Series 6000 Enclosure and does not require the CDP.
