Our waterproof accelerometer range includes our MM273A series (PE Mode) and our MM173A series (IEPE Mode). These accelerometers are completely waterproof and designed to withstand high humidity and underwater environmental vibration testing. Each model features an integral waterproof cable, capable of operating at depths of up to 100 metres.

Operation:

Our Waterproof Accelerometers operate using a piezoelectric ceramic element. When subjected to vibration, the ceramic element generates an electrical charge proportional to the mechanical stress. In the PE Mode models, this charge is then transmitted through an integral cable. In the IEPE Mode models, the charge is converted to a low-impedance voltage signal for easier handling and data acquisition.
