What are Wireless Concrete Sensors?
Wireless Concrete Sensors are small, fully embedded devices that continuously tracks the temperature and maturity of curing concrete. Instead of relying on manual sampling or destructive cube testing, the sensor uses embedded thermal probes to monitor internal conditions in real time. Therefore, helping you know exactly when your concrete has reached the required strength.
This technology removes cables, data loggers, and manual downloads. It allows for hands-free, cable-free, and easy monitoring in modern construction projects.
Available Models
Signal Sensor
The Signal Sensor is a fully wireless, single-point embedded sensor. That measures temperature and calculates strength development using the concrete maturity method. It is embedded directly into the pour. It transmits readings via Bluetooth® to the Converge mobile app or the Signal Live Unit for remote access.
Temperature Accuracy: ±0.2 °C
Measurement Frequency: Every 20 minutes
Battery Life: Up to 6 months (non-replaceable)
Range: Up to 15 m (depending on site conditions)
Ingress Protection: IP68 (fully sealed)
Ideal for general concreting, structural pours, and routine formwork timing applications.
Signal Sensor +
The Signal Sensor + includes all the capabilities of the base model. In addition, with the added flexibility of Thermal Tails. These optional extension probes that allow you to measure temperature and strength at multiple depths or across large sections.

This makes it ideal for mass concrete pours, bridge decks, or temperature differential monitoring. Where thermal gradients and internal heat build-up must be tracked accurately.
Signal Live Unit
For remote or large-scale projects, the Signal Live Hub collects data automatically from all embedded sensors within range (typically up to 15 m). For remote or large projects, the Signal Live Hub automatically collects data from all nearby sensors. It works within a range of about 15 metres. It sends readings through 4G or Wi-Fi to the ConcreteDNA® platform. This lets you access results from anywhere, anytime.
Connects to multiple sensors simultaneously
Buffers data during network interruptions
Reduces manual on-site visits for data collection
Supports both Signal Sensor and Signal Sensor + models
Integrated Software and App Support
All wireless sensors connect seamlessly with the Converge mobile app and ConcreteDNA® web platform:
Mobile App (Bluetooth) – Used to register sensors, check readings, and view real-time graphs on site.
ConcreteDNA® Cloud Platform – Provides advanced data analytics, trend reports, and alerts for strength milestones or temperature thresholds.
Mix AI™ and Cure™ Modules – Optional smart features (via Converge platform) that use historical and predictive data to optimise mix design and curing efficiency.
Together, they deliver a complete digital concrete monitoring system — from pour to performance validation.
Key Benefits
🕒 Save Time – Know exactly when your concrete reaches target strength, enabling faster formwork removal and earlier post-tensioning.
⚙️ Improve Accuracy – Receive precise, real-time strength data rather than relying on lab results that can take days.
📱 Monitor Remotely – Access data instantly through your phone or desktop from any location.
🔋 No Wires, No Hassle – Fully wireless and self-powered sensors. Eliminate the risk of cable damage and simplify site setup.
🌍 Reduce Carbon & Waste – Optimise mix design and reduce over-curing times for a more sustainable construction process.
🧱 Enhance Quality Control – Continuous temperature and maturity tracking ensures consistent performance across every pour.

Pain Points These Sensors Solve
Traditional Problem | Wireless Sensor Solution |
---|---|
Manual temperature logging & lab delays | Automatic, real-time digital data every 20 minutes |
Risk of cable damage in wet or high-traffic sites | Fully embedded, cable-free design |
Uncertainty about formwork removal timing | Instant strength notifications via app |
Over-curing and wasted time on site | Data-driven decision-making saves days per pour |
Limited access to remote site data | Cloud-connected monitoring via Signal Live Hub |
How It Works
- Register and Install the Sensor
Use the ConcreteDNA® app to register your Signal Sensor+, then secure it to the reinforcing steel (rebar) with cable ties before pouring. The sensor will automatically begin measuring concrete temperature and strength once embedded. - Add and Position the Thermal Tail
Connect a Thermal Tail to the Signal Sensor+ and register it in the app. Position the probe at your desired measurement depth or location to monitor temperature differentials throughout the pour. - Activate the Signal Live Hub
Power on the Signal Live Hub and mount it securely to site hoarding or another elevated position within 15 metres of your sensors. The hub automatically collects data from nearby Signal Sensors and transmits it wirelessly to ConcreteDNA® for continuous remote monitoring. - View Real-Time Data in ConcreteDNA®
Alternatively, use the ConcreteDNA® mobile app to connect via Bluetooth® and collect data manually from your Signal Sensor+. View concrete strength, temperature, and AI-driven milestone predictions instantly on your device.
The result? Data-driven concreting decisions that save time, reduce rework, and boost confidence in every pour.
